Concept for exhibitions and events

The art projects consist of paintings in acrylic and oil on linen which are available as light performances with UV spotlights and a DMX lighting control presented in different ambient lights. Through a special painting technique, the formal quality of the images is maintained equally in all lighting settings. The artist creates different depth perspectives, color changes and an interweaving of invisible and visible of pictorial elements. The combination of paintings with light performance forms a bridge between analogue art and lighting technology.
Regine Kafeder has produced several 2D animation short music videos on various topics with the artworks, together with the videos the painting - light project is an hybrid collaboration of analog and digital, visual arts, video art, electronic and analog music and photography.

Concept for the acquisition of paintings

When the paintings are illuminated with UV light, they change their formal appearance in the different ambient lights. Through a special painting technique, the formal quality of the images is maintained equally in all lighting settings. With a UV flashlight, the presentation becomes an interactive visual playground.
